Martin Alan Davies charged with the murder of Kailem Reece Gibson

Mr Davies, 35 years old, lives on Gilmerton Drive in Newton Heath where the stabbing took place.

The criminal charge comes days after Kailem Reece Gibson, 28 years old, was stabbed on Gilmerton Drive on Friday 29th August. They died from their injuries just hours later in hospital.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that Mr Davies (born 24th January 1990) has been remanded in custody, and that they were due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court earlier today (Monday 1st September).

Furthermore, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have since been released on bail while the police investigation continues.
