emergency Police appeal for information following sexual assault in Piccadilly Gardens

Greater Manchester Police say the unknown victim, believed to be a teenage girl, has not yet contacted them.

Reports of a sexual assault taking place in Piccadilly Gardens was made earlier this week on Wednesday 27th August.

A criminal investigation has since been launched following the incident, but police require the victim to be identified for any action to be likely.

They have urged anyone who may have any information to call 101 and quote log number 921 of 28th August 2025.
